I maintained a deep and meaningful friendship with a man that I had dated decades ago. He is my friend and that is what we are, friends. It can happen between men and women but I believe it may be rare.

This truly explains my friendship with my best friend. We met very young and have maintained a friendship over the years. We are both in our mid 40s now live three states away, but we always make time for each other. I’ve never had to ask her to understand me she just does and I understand her. There is no judgment between us just undying support. I truly have no idea where I would be without her.
