I am 50 years old and live with invisible illness – chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), POTS, etc. I saw Eline’s comment below and signed up for the Spoonies waitlist. I have largely avoided most online forums because most people share how awful it is. I am looking for online community that I can join if i feel like it and that does something relaxing. Tasting Tea or fun reading book club. There are probably things I don’t even know about. I don’t know how to knit or sew. I essentially listen to audio books, watch funny t.v., sit outside when the weather is nice, and spend time with my kids. I would love know what my options are. I feel very lonely and isolated. And this article made me feel like I could get some of my sparkle back. I would love to see a Part 2 to this article.

For exactly all of the reasons you mentioned in this article :).
