Hi there! Not all plastics contain PFAS, which is a common concern for wearers. For waterproof materials, unfortunately, you will likely have to wear something with plastic in it for all-day protection. Hi BP! Thank you for your feedback and concerns. Since 2018, Houdini has eliminated PFAS from all new garments, including their DWR treatments. They now use PFAS-free alternatives, like a wax-like substance made of hydrocarbon chains. I hope this helps! – Emily
