Accounting for inflation and how garments were made, this is actually cheaper. It takes time and good materials cost money. These are very reasonable prices. Everyone is very used to the $8.99 t-shirt based on how companies have skewed our perception. I am tired of this type of comment and see it everywhere. I save for what I want to buy, I don’t buy more than I need, I buy quality, and for steals, I go second hand or I wait for a piece I want to go on sale. Most companies put items on sale once a year at least. It is affordable and it is not ridiculous. What is ridiculous is private equity firms gutting this country. Capitalism is neither good nor bad – it just is. It is how we structure it and how much greed and cheapness is part of it.
